KANAK Obtains Information Security Management System (ISMS) Certification

Bio-fintech leader Connex (CEO Won) announced on the 8th that it recently obtained Information Security Management System (ISMS) certification from the Financial Security Institute.

The ISMS certification system is a system that examines whether a company is operating a comprehensive management system including administrative, technical, and physical protection measures to secure the stability and reliability of information and communication networks, and determines whether it is suitable. The Financial Security Institute conducts a suitability assessment, and a total of 80 certification criteria, including 'Establishment and Operation of Information Protection Management System (16 items)' and 'Information Protection Measures Requirements (64 items)' must be met to pass the examination.

KANAK has recently acquired ISMS certification in the electronic payment gateway (PG) service sector. With this certification, it plans to create a safer payment environment and provide reliable services to merchants and customers.

Won, CEO of KANAK, said, โ€œStrengthening security is a prerequisite for operating authentication and payment services based on biometric authentication.โ€ He continued, โ€œWe will enhance payment security and stability by obtaining ISMS certification,โ€ and โ€œWe will be able to eliminate merchants and customersโ€™ concerns about information leaks by strengthening the security of personal information such as biometric information and payment information.โ€

KANAK is the first PG company to pass the Financial Supervisory Service's biometric authentication service terms and conditions review in May. It is currently developing and providing a solution called 'Handit' that provides identity authentication and payment services in the 'ONE ID' method through biometric authentication using the intestinal vein. In July, it signed an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Softforum and introduced a security solution based on a quantum-resistant encryption algorithm.
