KANAK recently announced

Under the agreement, the two companies will develop and link convenient overseas payment solutions for medical tourists, develop and link integrated payment solutions for hospitals and clinics that cooperate in medical tourism, and expand the medical specialties of hospitals and clinics that cooperate in medical tourism. Through this, the company plans to expand its share of the medical tourism market.
EZP is a company that recruits domestic medical tourists and provides consultation and treatment for domestic tourism. It specializes in domestic and international marketing for hospitals. It supports the entire process of medical tourism, including issuing medical tourism visas, preliminary remote consultation services, vehicle transportation services, facility reservations, and assigning interpreters.

KANAK is a leading bio-fintech company that has developed Handit, a biometric payment solution that utilizes information from the iliac vein in the palm of the hand. It was the first PG (electronic payment agency) to pass the Financial Supervisory Service's terms and conditions review. Recently, Handit was installed as an access system at the headquarters to prove its security, and employees' iliac vein information was registered.

“The medical tourism market, which was depressed by COVID-19, is rapidly recovering globally,” said KANAK. ”According to the Korea Health Industry Promotion Agency, the total number of foreign patients visiting Korea in 2022 was 248,110, up 70.1% from 145,842 the previous year. The government is also promoting policies to revitalize medical tourism with the goal of reaching 500,000 foreign patients by 2026.”
