Connect introduces "Handit" for vein authentication and payment solutions, powered by KANAK. Revolutionizing security and convenience in fintech! ๐Ÿ’ณโœจ

Connect Handit, payment possible with just the palm of your hand without a credit card

It is expected that an era will open in the second half of this year where payments can be made using only the palm vein without a credit card.

Connect (CEO Won) announced on the 26th that its biometric authentication payment solution, โ€˜Handitโ€™, passed the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) terms of use review.

The Financial Supervisory Service said, โ€œThere is no disagreement with the terms and conditions,โ€ and โ€œWe will be able to implement the service after individual notification from each institution.โ€ According to Connect, the service will not be implemented right away, but it will be the first PG (electronic payment agency) company to be able to pursue a biometric authentication service business.

'Handit' is a brand inspired by Hand and Credit, and is a biometric authentication and payment solution that utilizes information from the mesenteric vein in the palm. It has also completed patents specialized for mesenteric vein payments and trademark registration for the 'Handit' logo, which is shaped like a hand and card.

'Handit' is characterized by the fact that it can be used for everything from identity and adult authentication to payment with just one registration of the vein. According to the company, it can be used for life by anyone over the age of 14, and it is also highly secure. The company also said that it helps practice ESG (environment, society, and governance) management because it does not require issuing cards.

The Connect side said, โ€œThis year, we established the vision of being a โ€˜leading company in biometric fintechโ€™ and put all our efforts into developing Handit,โ€ and โ€œThis month, we developed a Handit user app (application) and a payment solution based on tablets.โ€ They added, โ€œWe will expand our business in various ways by partnering with bank biocenters that have the most biometric information in Korea and acting as a gateway using biometric data.โ€

Won, CEO of Connect, said, โ€œWe will support the use of Handit in places where authentication and payment are required, such as airports, duty-free shops, hospitals, hotels, resorts, managed schools, and educational institutions.โ€ He added, โ€œIn terms of security, we will also apply quantum-resistant encryption to ensure customer reliability.โ€
